The Chamois grip or Shami has become a must have of every hockey player.

Why isn't it on a stick from the factory?

- Shami's have a shorter lifespan than your stick (we however set it for free on new Tribaal sticks on request)
- you can choose the color
- choose the feel depending on how you tighten it.
There are so many options that setting it up in the factory would be too limitating.

At Tribaal we have carefully selected a range  of shami and made it available in different colors.
Our shami is thick enough to absorb moisture and resist rough handling. When one side is worn out,
the shami can be turned inside out and will feel as new all over again.

How to setup your shami:
you can start from the lower part of the handle to the top.
If your hands tend to more often go downwards on the handle grip than upward, this is the ideal way to set it. This is as well easier to reset. It however requires tape at both ends
You can otherwise start from the top of the handle grip. This is most players favoured way to set it.
The other advantages are that you may not need the tape at the top of the handle grip. The direction of the fold is nicer as well.

Last but not least. The more you lay over the less handle grip length you will be able to cover.
The ideal is to use electrical tape. It is flexible and easy to get. Here again you can choose your color.
