With the European season reaching it mid point, Tribaal players Steven Mann and Alex Krzensk have joined up in France to play for Stade Francais. Sharing some Germanic heritage, the two are from the opposite ends of the earth, America & Australia and although they are young, both 23, each has managed to juggle university with high levels of hocke and regular international travel. Specifically Steven has been playing in the German Bundasleague since he was the age of 17 learning from German greats. Alex on the other hand has been playing in a top Australian league since he was 16 and then started to play/coach professionally overseas from the age of 20. Together the boys have playing experience covering 5 continents learning their trade from Australian and German greats alike, a good effort for the meager age 23! Although Steven has been in France since September, Alex only joined him at the end of October and so far the boys have complemented each other well. Both are fast, strong and aggressive mid fielders, who constantly probe with killer drags and perfect balls. Never afraid to have a go and always moving with their head up, the boys looked comfortable and determined at a training match in their new surroundings of the Stade Francais pitch in Vaucresson. Now, with Christmas exams nearly over and the indoor season looming, the duo are preparing to stamp their authority on the league using the latest and greatest creations of Tribaal Hockey. Tribaal Savannah for outdoor and a Tribaal Impi 99 for indoor. Keep an eye out for this dynamic duo in the months to come, we certainly will be!!! -The Tribaal Team |
